Hi group,
My name is Dr. Judith Freidenberg and I am an Argentine-American anthropologist currently researching the subject of U.S. expats in Buenos Aires (Argentina), Beijing (China) and Tokyo (Japan). I am writing to you in search of volunteers to participate in my research, which aims to understand the modern phenomena of the expatriate. If you are willing to participate please e- mail me at (jfreiden [at] anth.umd.edu) and I will send you a set of questions.
The information you provide will remain confidential (I have the support of my university, the University of Maryland, to conduct the study and will provide a signed consent form to confirm confidentiality).
Naturally, since there are many expats, your collaboration in sending this announcement to your listserves will be greatly appreciated.
Please write and thanks in advance for your collaboration!

Hello
I came here to leave some comment.
This site reminds me that I have been to L.A. once. It was my first business trip abroad, It was more than ten years ago.
At that time I didn't like to study English, so I hardly spoke English in LA.
But I learned roller blade. It was fun for me.

By the way, today, you said you have your e-mail adrees on this site, but I can't find it. Is it "tucked away off a side street" ?
